Thomas D. Wood co-founded Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services in 2005 and serves as Executive Chairman and Director. He previously served as the company's Chairman, President and CEO. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Wood was Director of Coil-X Drilling Systems Corporation. He is also the founder and former Chairman (2001-2005) of Savanna Energy Services Corp.


His experience in the drilling and oilfield services industry has included leadership positions at several companies including Round-Up Resource Services Ltd., where he was CEO; Wrangler West Energy Corp. (Director); Player Petroleum Corporation (Director); Plains Energy Services Ltd. (President, Drilling and Wellbore Division); New Syrus Capital Corporation (Director); and Round-Up Well Servicing Inc. (President).


Mr. Wood earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Calgary.

Rodney J. Uchytil was appointed President of Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services in May 2008. He was then named President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2009. From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Uchytil was the Chief Operating Officer of Coil-X Drilling Systems Corporation. Previously, he spent 12 years at Schlumberger Integrated Project Management, holding a number of management and senior engineering roles. These positions included Global Well Engineering and Operations Manager; Operations Support Manager and Well Engineering Manager; and Co-General Director of Siberian Geophysics Company Joint Venture (SGC). He started his career as a Drilling and Operating Engineer with Chevron Canada Resources.


Mr. Uchytil received a degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology with honors from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta.

Richard D. Havinga became Chief Operating Officer of Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services in January 2009 after serving for four years as Vice President, Engineering and Design. Prior to joining Xtreme, he was Vice President of Operations at Foremost Industries, Inc., from 1999 to 2005. During his 26 years at Foremost Industries—where he started as Mechanical Designer and later became Engineering Manager—Mr. Havinga developed new drilling concepts, including coiled drilling units for most of the major coiled tubing drilling contractors in western Canada and the U.S.


Mr. Havinga received a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta.

Matthew S. Porter joined Xtreme as Chief Financial Officer in August of 2011. Before joining Xtreme, he worked as Director of Finance at Chesapeake Energy. Previously, Mr. Porter was at Bronco Drilling Company where he served as Chief Financial Officer from 2010 to 2011 and Vice President of Corporate Finance from 2006 to 2010. At Bronco, as CFO he played a key role in negotiating and executing the company's sale to Chesapeake Energy in 2011. In his previous role at Bronco he managed all aspects of M&A and corporate finance activity as well as led a strategic initiative to enter two new international markets. He also worked as Vice President- Sr. Portfolio Manager at BOK Financial from 2001 to 2006 where he managed a discretionary portfolio of public and private assets with approximate value of $275 mm.


Mr. Porter earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma in 2001. Mr. Porter is a CFA Charterholder and past President of the Oklahoma CFA Society.

Tyson Seeliger has been Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services since November 2010. Prior to joining Xtreme, Mr. Seeliger worked for three years at Trinidad Drilling, LP, as U.S. Sales & Marketing Manager. He started his career with National Oilwell, where he spent seven years rising through the ranks of the company. After National Oilwell merged with Varco, Mr. Seeliger served as Product Line Manager for IDEAL & RAPID Rig Drilling Systems in Houston, Texas, from 2005 to 2007.


Mr. Seeliger earned a bachelor's degree in Business/Organizational Communications & Marketing from the University of Oklahoma in December 1997. He is a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, the American Association of Drilling Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Brett Cole was named General Counsel for Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services in January 2010. Prior to joining Xtreme, Mr. Cole provided comprehensive legal representation and counseling for Schlumberger Limited in positions involving corporate mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international operating and holding companies, technology and product development centers, manufacturing groups, and research labs. Previously, he was an attorney at Kirklin, Boudreaux & Leonard, P.C., in Houston, Texas, from 1994 to 1998. There, he focused on corporate, commercial, consumer protection, product liability, and environmental cases.


Earlier in his career, Mr. Cole focused on engineering. From 1989 to 1993, he worked for the M.W. Kellogg Company as Structural Engineer & Project Manager. His duties there included design work for petrochemical and industrial facilities, as well as project management for international engineering, procurement and construction projects. Mr. Cole also served as an Engineer for Newmark Civil Engineering Lab in Urbana, Illinois, from 1988 to 1989 and the U.S. Department of the Interior, Geological Survey, from to 1987 to 1988.


Mr. Cole earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering with honors from the University of Illinois in 1989. In 1993, he graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. Mr. Cole is a member of the State Bar of Texas and was admitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also holds a Professional Engineering License (EIT, Illinois).

Martin Ramirez has been Corporate Controller at Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services since March 2010. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Ramirez was Director of Accounting for enterprise management software company BMC Software in Houston, Texas. Before becoming a finance and accounting consultant for companies with operations in the U.S., Latin America and abroad, he was Senior Manager of Oil and Gas for BKD, LLP/Mazaars Group, one of the largest accounting firms in the U.S. Previously, Mr. Ramirez served as Controller and Director of Finance, Honeywell, Automation & Control Solutions at Honeywell International, Inc., from 2002 to 2005. He was Senior Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP/ Coopers & Lybrand from 1998 to 2002.


Mr. Ramirez became a Certified Public Accountant after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Kyle Swingle is a Co-Founder and Director of Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services, and serves as the company's Senior Technical and Project Advisor. He was previously Chief Operating Officer at Xtreme. Prior to founding Xtreme with Thomas D. Wood and Randolph M. Charron in 2005, Mr. Swingle served as Vice President of the Rocky Mountain drilling division of Grey Wolf, Inc. Earlier in his career, he was a Founding Director, President and Chief Executive Officer at New Patriot Drilling Corp. from 2002 to 2004. Mr. Swingle served as an officer and President (U.S.) of Precision Drilling in 2001, and was President of Fleet Coil Drilling—a subsidiary of Plains Energy Services—from 1999 to 2001. He has also been Operations Manager (U.S.) at SST Energy and Vice President and Operations Manager at Shelby Drilling.


Mr. Swingle earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming.

Reg Layden is International Manager, Technical Operations at Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services. He joined the company in 2006 after serving as Operations Manager, Drilling and Completions at Technicoil Corporation, where he had worked since 2002. Previously, Mr. Layden was Rig Manager at Fleet Coil Drilling from 1998 to 2000. He also served as Driller and Rig Manager at both Ensign Drilling (1994-1998) and High West Well Servicing (1990-1994). Earlier in his career, Mr. Layden was a Well Tester at Norward Well Testing from 1989 to 1990. He was a Project Coordinator and Foreman at Narwhale Arctic Services from 1986 to 1989.

Scott Maddox has been Director of Corporate Health, Safety & Environment at Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services since May 2007. He has dedicated his oilfield services career to the advancement of HSE standards, having previously been HSE Supervisor at both Grey Wolf Drilling (2005-2007) and Noble Drilling (2002-2005). He served in the U.S. Navy as a firefighting instructor from 1994 to 2002.


Mr. Maddox earned his bachelor's degree with honors in Occupational Safety and Health, with a concentration in Fire Science, in 2008 from Columbia Southern University in Alabama.
