Jointed Pipe Drilling
Outstanding Performance in U.S. Resource Plays
The deep and complex resource plays dominating today's U.S. drilling landscape demand fit-for-purpose rigs capable of handling the unique challenges these projects present. With the latest AC technology and hook load capacities of up to 500,000 lbs, our rigs can drill long-lateral horizontal wells up to 22,500 feet.
Our growing fleet is currently drilling primarily in the U.S. Rocky Mountain region, with rigs in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in Colorado, including the Niobrara Shale; the Williston Basin in North Dakota, including the Bakken Shale; and the Oregon Basin in Wyoming. Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services also has rigs working in South Texas in the Eagle Ford Shale and Austin Chalk.
Better Mobility Improves Efficiency
Xtreme rigs aren't just powerfulthey're also among the most mobile in the industry. Modular transportation systems reduce the time it takes to move in, rig up and rig out from days to just hours. Integral skidding systems for multi-well pad drilling offer the on-site mobility required in unconventional shale plays.
Additionally, our use of Range 3 (45-foot) drill pipe greatly reduces the number of time-consuming connections.
Other Ways Our Rigs Accelerate Your Drilling Project:
Continuous Performance Improvement in the DJ Basin
Xtreme has consistently increased our drilling speed while reducing non-productive time for our customers in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in Colorado.
